Marr RFC v Jed-forest RFC - 29th October 2016
It was a dull and dreich day in Troon when I got the chance to see Jed-forest playing again in Ayrshire. My affinity with the team goes back to the sixties when my father Iain ran the left wing in a No. 15 jersey.
Unfortunately the team never got the win losing 26-19 but it was a tough match in which both teams fought hard for the result.
The day seemed like the perfect opportunity to get up close to the game and shoot some sports images. The challenge in the low light was to get a fast enough shutter speed for good focus whilst capturing the action and emotions.
Overall, despite the result, it was an enjoyable day and it was good to catch up with with some of my dad’s ex-teammates and officials.
